Dr. Ángel Silano, through the website and dental practice commercially identified as “Doctor Silano”, located at Cra 48 #19A-40, Clínica Clofan, Office 1607, El Poblado, Medellín, Colombia, is the controller responsible for processing the personal data you provide through this website, under the terms of Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 (Personal Data Protection Law), Decree 1377 of 2013, and any regulations amending or supplementing them.

Through the assessment form available in the “Request your assessment” section of this site, we collect:

• Identification and contact data: full name, phone number / WhatsApp, and email address.
• Information about the reason for your inquiry, which you freely describe in the comments field.
• Photographs of your smile (face, profiles, and dental arches) that you voluntarily upload so Dr. Silano can perform a preliminary clinical assessment.

These photographs constitute sensitive health-related data, under the terms of Article 5 of Law 1581 of 2012. As sensitive data, you are not obligated to provide it and doing so is entirely voluntary; however, it is necessary in order to offer you a personalized quote and assessment.

The data you provide us is used exclusively to:

• Evaluate your clinical case and prepare a personalized quote.
• Contact you to coordinate a video consultation or in-person appointment.
• Respond to your requests, questions, or comments.
• Maintain an internal patient record and clinical follow-up.

We do not use your data for third-party advertising purposes, and we do not sell, lease, or share it for commercial purposes other than those described here.

By completing the form and clicking the submit button, you grant your prior, express, and informed authorization for the processing of your personal data, including the sensitive photograph data, in accordance with this policy.

Your data is stored on technology infrastructure provided by a third-party data processor (database and cloud storage provider), under reasonable and proportional security measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access restricted solely to authorized practice personnel. This provider may host the information on servers located outside Colombia, in which case such international data transfer is carried out in compliance with applicable regulations governing data processors.

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as an active clinical relationship with you exists, unless the law requires a different retention period.

In accordance with Law 1581 of 2012, you have the right to:

• Know, update, and correct your personal data.
• Request proof of the authorization granted.
• Be informed about how your data has been used.
• File complaints with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC), Colombia's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, for violations of the law.
• Revoke your authorization and/or request the deletion of your data, where no legal or contractual duty prevents its removal.
• Access your personal data free of charge.

To exercise any of these rights, you may write to us via WhatsApp stating your request. We will respond within the periods established by law.

This website is not directed at minors. If you are a minor, the form must be completed and the corresponding authorization granted by your parent or legal guardian.
